Now that the hippogriff have bowed to Jonathan, does that mean he can come near it and feed it with the ferret he has in his hand right? Jonathan looked around, some students seem to be ahead with the activity. A few had already started to 'mingle' with the creature.
Nonetheless, Jonathan was making a progress with this as well. That's what matters. Jonathan breathe deeply. Okay, no need to be a shy goof. He moved his feet and slowly approached the hippogriff. Of course, he was still scared. You don't know what will happen next. If he did the procedures correctly though, then he shouldn't be worrying as much.
He took a few more steps until he finally reached the hippogriff. Yup. Took him awhile to approach it. Jonathan starred at it for awhile. The hippogriff just blinked as he starred back at him. The Slytherin knew that he had already gain respect from the creature, so at least that made him a little bit calmer than before.
He then took the 4 ferrets and raised it so that the hippogriff would know that it's feeding time. There was still a big distance between the creature and him. What? It's not like he's going to hug it or something. Besides, it's feeding time. He then tossed the ferret up for the hippogriff to catch. They're smart creatures, it probably knew from the very beginning that Jonathan was going to give him something to eat.
Whoah! Did he just motivated the creature to act nice? ---Wait! Do they really behave when you give them food?
Jonathan looked at the hippogriff as it catches the first ferret into the air. It was indeed a fascinating thing to watch. Oh! More ferrets for the hungry hippogriff. Jonathan then tossed another one into the air for the hippogriff to catch.
This is really fun. Jonathan barely has pets. Well, he has Coal... his owl. That's just about it. But the owl serves purpose to deliver his letters. So basically if he wasn't sending owl letters, then he's pet-less? So feeding the hippogriff for the first time really made him happy.
He then tossed again the 3rd ferret and watched the hippogriff ate it. It's quite barbaric to look at but it's nature. Hippogriffs are amazing creatures after all. |
