Listening to Matty talk about growing up in the castle and being under constant surveillance made Marie understand why he wanted them to have a home away from Sweden. In just the few times she had been there she learned to watch over her shoulder.
Never know who might confront you with a crossbow. "I'll do my best to help make sure they have a normal life." Her on the other hand, she didn't care. She knew what she was getting into when she started dating Matty. Just as long as she was with him she would be happy, no matter who was watching over them.
Hugging him tight she rested her head on his shoulder.
"Thank you... for everything." This really was the best birthday a girl could ever ask for.
