"You... you're giving me a ring that was your mother's?" She had never heard him mention anything about his parents other than they were killed when he was really young.
"That means a lot... that you want me to have something that has been in your family for so long." Slipping her arms around his waist she gave him another hug.

"You mean there's more?" She didn't think anything could top what he's already given her. She wasn't going to turn a gift away though. Looking over at the box on the table her smile widened even more.
"Can I open it now?" No you fool, he asked if you wanted it just to see what you'd say.
