Kourtney mentally went over the characteristics of the wand; the length…check…the core…check…the wood…check…the..oh. Flexibility. She picked up the wand again and felt it again, and then pointed it forward as though she were going to cast a spell with it. It wasn’t very flexible or springy, but that was okay. She had figured Aberforth’s wand to be very unyielding. He was said to have a stubborn personality, and since his patronus was a goat…and a goat was often unyielding and stubborn, it made sense for his wand to be such.

With a smile of satisfaction, Kourtney laid the makeshift wand down on the table. Now to clean up, and then write her parchments for the rest of the final.

She collected the books that she had used, and placed them in their respective places on the bookshelves. When she returned to her workspace, she waved her wand, casting the cleaning charm and watched as the debris and wood shavings disappeared.

All done. Carefully placing the makeshift wand into her bag, she stowed her own wand into her robes, and made her way to the door of the room. One part of the assignment down, two more to go.
