She nibbled yet again on her carrot stick in a conclusive manner. This really does taste awful, she thought to herself.
Natasha saw the bright smile that Constance was giving her and decided that she had evidently already spotted her efficient manner and positive attitude towards work. Not long before I'm promoted then, she thought to herself smugly.
'I am gratified to meet you myself,' Natasha replied sweetly. 'In fact, I already feel as though we're going to get on well with one another.' She yanked her expression into what she thought of as an endearing smile before continuing. 'I know that I will soon become a valuable asset to this department and will, of course, be able to assist you in any way necessary - such as overseeing new staff recruitments, perhaps?' she suggested. 'And, naturally, dismissals... I am afraid that I have already noticed that there are certain employees who just don't quite meet the standards neccessary for their jobs.' Her gaze shifted to Gavin as if to show just who she thought needed firing.
Kammy raised her eyebrow at the other woman. She wasn't saying anything...maybe she had lost the ability to talk? Hmm...but she could speak yesterday? Kammy was confused? She finished her doughnut and threw the napkin away in the garbage. Now. Was there any coffee here?
"Have you seen the coffee? I need some...desperately," she asked Natasha. It was all part of being an adult, drinking coffee. Kammy had always seen the adults do it...so naturally, as soon as she started her real job, she had taken to drinking the really strong stuff. She liked it almost black. Nice and bitter.
