But she'd said that she felt as though her students were her kids, and she was there when they needed her...
Presley took a deep breath, and just plunged in. "Do you ever..do you ever-- Is it possible to dislike your own child?" There, she'd said it, and let Bentley take it the way she would, but Pres just didn't have the courage to say 'Professor, I think my father forgot I exist.' No, that would not happen.
"Dislike your own child?" she echoed. Merlin. That was a doozy. Seren suddenly felt a little uncomfortable, not because she didn't want to answer the girl, but more to the point because she wanted to give her a big hug. Did Presley think her family didn't care about her?... didn't... like her? That was just a trully terrible though, and quite frankly she couldn't imagine it happening.
"No... I don't think so," she said somewhat uncertainly. She knew that most people couldn't dislike their own child... but there was always the possibility that
some people could.
"I'd say there are probably times where our loved ones challenge us or get on our nerves... but to dislike your own child.. well... I don't think its likely."
She offered Presley a warm smile.
"If it means anything... I don't see how anybody could dislike a wonderful bright and well mannered young lady like yourself." SPOILER!!: Aurora

What did Rufin do..? "He's a plant removal agent." she said. A senior removal agent no less. "But he was a greenhouse assistant - or something - in the german ministry for a while I think..." And probably something to do with animals... He'd probably told her at some point. But why had she asked? Aurora's face fell, "You're not thinking of leaving us are you?" she asked. Aurora really hoped not, Bentley was one of her favourite Professors! She didn't want her to leave! She was pretty sure any new professor wouldn't be quite so enthusiastic about flesh eating plants and then who would she go to about Flo?
As for the umbrella flowers, Aurora was already imagining how pretty they would look with all the other plants around them - once there were other plants of course...
"It did indeed... but we'll get it looking as right as rain in no time."
A very exciting prospect. Greenhouse Three would be bright and colourful forevermore.
"Ohh... that sounds rather itneresting." And by rather interesting, it sounded more appealing than sitting at a desk and filling out paperwork. She couldn't help but chuckle lightly at the sight of Aurora's face. Was she going anywhere? Oh heavens no!
"No, no, no... I won't be leaving Hogwarts for a long long time... unless I'm advised to leave." But that wouldn't happen.. surely.

But there must be theories trying to link the two more closely aren't there?"
She finished in a rush and then blushed a deep tomato red. "I'm sorry Professor. I'm just so curious about it because from what I know from muggle literature there has been various theories about it and well I thought that in the wizarding world there might be more concrete theories."
"Yes its... slightly different. When we look at the Zodiac signs for Herbology its more to determine which energies are being emphasised. So water signs influence plants which have a higher water content, or aquatic plants themselves, and fire signs for fire plants and fruit bearing trees where the energy is focused on the seeds and on their flammable properties." She hoped this was making sense. It really wasn't much like astrology or even astronomy... Plants didn't behave as humans do.
"Never be embarassed or ashamed to ask questions... because if you don't ask, you'll never learn," she said smiling brightly. No, asking questions was the best thing a student could do.
"I'm here to teach you... and I'm available whenever you require assistance, not only in class time. As a student its important to make use of us Professors, we're a valluable resource when it comes to your education." SPOILER!!: Alyssa

I'm sorry to hear that the Puffapods didn't make but now that you're going to be teaching us how to plant them in our next lesson, I'm really looking forward to our next class. I'm glad that you are feeling lots better too, Professor. Well I see that you are very busy, so I'll let you get back to what you were doing" Alyssa smiled at the Professor, leaning over to pat Caltex's before leaving the office.
"They are rather lovely aren't they," she mused brightly. Eucalyptus was one of her favourite scents.. though not quite as favourable as her pepermint.
"No problem dear, thank you for stopping by," she smiled brightly giving the Hufflepuff a wave goodbye.
"I'll see you in class." SPOILER!!: Harvey

Ah he deserves to be spoilt, just one look at those eyes and you cant say no to him" Harvey's ears perked up when she talked about special lessons next term. "You mean there is something better than what we have had already? Woah! Oh Professor now I really cant wait for that lesson!" he said beaming so much he felt actually begging the professor for more details. "I know.. I thought it was outrageous!"
Really, who could abandon such a cute little fluff ball... it just sickened her. Silly muggles, most of them didn't even deserve pets! And to think there were rumours going around about reviewing the Statute of Secrecy.... that was the most ludicrous idea she'd ever heard. Nothing good would come of it.
"Well thats the plan dear," she said laughing lightly. Honestly, he didnt think the lessons would just get worse did he? No.. this one would be a show stopper. So much fun!
