She noticed him looking around the room frantically still as she had done so earlier trying to avoid eye contact with her. It did make her a little upset, for she was actually trying to be able to talk to him after so long, and it seemed that he wanted nothing more than to run away from her. It was at that moment that Violet was tempted to turn and just walk away. She almost noticed his very confusing reaction after she had touched his arm, and when she saw his facial expression it made her regret touching him at all for she didn't know what he was thinking. Probably just thinking how dare a creature like herself ever touch him. He was probably just wishing she would leave and never come back, just transfer to Beauxbatons and make his life a lot easier.
Violet noticed that her attempt at striking up a conversation didn't really seem to work. Well at least she gave it a shot. Violet saw him blush and she could tell that he didn't like his outfit at all, must have been the tights. That she could understand and Violet knew that if Chris had the choice he wouldn't pick to wear an outfit that involved wearing tights as his first choice. Not unless....he had been forced to. By whom? Did Violet really even need to say. No. For she knew right away. All she could do was think about how Selina Arden Skylar really needed to stop meddling in every little thing that goes on in her friend lives.
When he was explaining to her what he was portraying Violet said lightly,"Oh alright I see..." Then when he said Muggle Violet felt herself blush a little, that awful word she had told him so coldly when they fought immediately began ringing through her ears. There was a look of guilt upon her face after she was hearing that awful word. But Violet was not the only one at fault because he told her that she was nothing more than a pretty face and that she would be only for her looks and nothing more. It repeatedly stuck a wound into her breaking heart.
Violet looked to her right seeing a couple dancing together and she noticed how happy the both of them looked. She closed her eyes and diverted her head away trying not to cry, it was in no way the time nor place for her to being doing that. Violet then opened her eyes and then said trying to change the subject,"So...umm..." nothing.
"So...this..."
Every time he snuck a glance at Violet, her face was completely unreadable.
It wasn't even that she showed no emotion, for she certainly did, it was just that there were so
many emotions there! Christopher was trying desperately to tell what was going on that mind of hers, but she was a girl. Girls were impossible. Sometimes he thought he'd swear them off forever and be one of those grouchy old men who lived alone. But where was the fun in being bitter and sad? There wasn't.
As he studied her, briefly and periodically so not to let her see him, her face showed misery, anger, confusion, and desperation. Desperation to get the heck out of there. He too was feeling terribly awkward, and wanted to sprint away as fast as he could. But he was a Gryffindor! He was brave, and way too proud, and he wasn't going to let this fall. He wasn't going through this horrible conversation for nothing. He was aiming for friendliness at the least, if not friendship.
His face turned an even brighter shade, if that was even possible, of red as she blushed about the conversation. He admitted he'd said awful things, but Violet Le Veela had insulted his family, called him out on
every single one of his flaws, and even called him a Mudblood. He wasn't sure if someone could get any lower than that, other than murder or something, but he had to at least try to be nice. It'd be tough though. He called her out on one thing, she called him out on every insecurity he had intrusted with her. It seemed that there was no one he could go to anymore.
"....Is just awful," he finished with a light laugh. No one could even attempt to deny the horrible situation, so why not lighten it a bit? He could at least try not to make it so tense if they were aiming to fix what they had broken. That would get them nowhere at all.
