Rufin flounced into the work room and whirled his jacket off in a rather flamboyant manner, hanging it onto the back of his chair. He was humming a muggle ballet and grinning like a hyena. Yep, he'd bought it. He'd walked right into the jewelery shop and picked it out. He knew exactly what size to get, though he knew he would have been able to charm it to the right size if he was wrong, and she would love it. He had deliberately bought it from a muggle jewelery shop, knowing how she was proud of her roots, and the only magic that would be involved in the proposal would be the magical jonquils that would sing to her as he spoke. Oh, it was going to be marvellous! Sitting down at his desk, Rufin took out the box once more, flipping it open to glance at the ring, making sure, for the millionth time, that she would love it, then placing it safely back into his inside pocket.
He pulled a pile of papers towards him and, for the first time ever, had a huge smile on his face as he filled in removal forms from his field work. |
