When Amelia woke up in the hospital, she could have sworn that it was all still a dream. She was sore from the surgery, and she was so tired from when they had put her under.

Zayden had spotted her waking, and was offering a weak smile and asking her how she was feeling. All she knew was that she wanted her babies. Right now. She needed to know that they were all okay, because they were born so prematurely.

“Mia, I don’t know how to tell you… One of our babies… she didn’t survive.”

Their baby girl was dead.
