Veronica didn't rise from her seat to greet the customers looking at some of the apparel. As far as she knew, meeting and greeting wasn't in her job description, and she wasn't going to do it if she didn't have to. Reason number six million why this job was much more suited to her than the lousy one she'd had at Madam Malkin's. As she stood from a stool behind the counter and made her way toward the back, she smirked at how pleasant the two customers were being to one another.
She gave them a passing glance then slid into the back area of the shop.
