Jesifur held the broom and turned toward the next gumdrop. She remembered the rune hanging around her neck. She pulled it out and kissed it quickly, then tucked it back in. Maybe that would help. She wound up and swung at the ever nearing gumdrop.

Thwack!

She hit it dead on and it zoomed off leaving a puff of sugar behind. Tasting the sugar as she flew through the puff, she spat. "Ewww, Cherry. I do not like the Cherry ones!"

She saw a green one coming at her so she swung hard. "I'll bet those ones taste like lime." She said to no one in particular. She hit it.

Whoomp!

A dusting of green sugar exploded with the contact. She opened her mouth.
