Her eyeing him wasn't helping his nerves at all and Gideon bit the inside of his cheek as his feet absently shuffled to pass the time. And however long it took Selina to finally speak, it was like it was taking forever and he guess he couldn't blame her. They had been hesitant to claim whatever was between them as anything. Taking a hold of her hand, well both hands, much like she herself had taken one of his at the quiiditch match, he intertwined their hands for a moment before speaking. "I...Gideon Gavin Gert promise tae ensure 'at whatever happens we will always be friends." His accent was clearer then it had been when they first had started showing he was calmer now. That being said, Gideon lifted their connect hands and raised hers to his lips to grace a kiss upon them and then lowered them once more.
"I dunna want to lose that anymore then ye do Selina," he said as he finally get go of at least one hand. "And appology accepted. I'da be the same way, we just cunna both be else we'd be miserable."
Selina heard the faintest of breath escape from Gideon. Her eyes shot up to his when he made that noise and then she looked at him. It was the first time she had properly looked at him for days. Merlin, how she had missed just looking at him. They had grown so close since they had met that the sight of him made her relaxed. She had been on edge avoiding him and she hadn't even noticed it.
When he grabbed her hands she suddenly grew panicked until he brought her hands up to his lips and kissed them. She blushed at the touch and chewed on her bottom lip. That was when she realized how funny they were. Gideon Gert, Selina Skylar, the pair of them. The two of them had never been conventional. They flirted through fighting, they kissed before properly liking one another, they hung out all of the time and tickled, they kissed some more and now they were dating. It was like they did everything backwards, but who said conventional was their style.
He let go of her one hand and her eyes drifted to their hands for a moment. Then her eyes drifted back up to his face and she smiled at him,
"As long as you promise. And I promise that no matter what happens we will be friends, always."
Then Selina started to laugh,
"Oh merlin... we're dating. That's hard to wrap my head around, Gertie."
