And really why would he make it up?! To under mind me, that’s why!
And then he took the liberty to insult her soon-to-be husband. “You watch your tongue! He is not!” She would not let this peon insult her fiance. “You are on the verge of reprimand.” Medea continued to wriggle in his grip, “And I WILL marry whomever I please!” Her love life was none of his concern.
When he finally let go she stumbled backward a bit, and nearly fell - grabbing the wall for support. “Different!?” Again puzzled she stared at the oddly familiar man, “Different than what?” It hadn’t occurred to her that she was now running late. Absentmindedly she rubbed the arm he had previously been gripping.
She stared at the floor trying to make sense of everything, and then blurted the first thing that came to mind. "And if my arm bruises you'll be hearing from Nye!" The woman felt so insecure and unsure, not to mention confused.
Mason sort of glared at her while she stuttered. He felt slightly accomplished for some reason even though he probably shouldn't have. He used to love her. He should probably be nice to her. Not to mention she had a high position in the Ministry and Mason could get in deep trouble for talking to her like this.
HAH. Like he cared. "A reprimand? Honestly?" She was out of her mind. She took work way too seriously. She was completely mental. This was driving Mason insane. He took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down. "Well then I wish you two the best." Bitter. Sarcastic. Obviously, the calming down wasn't working.
As she questioned "different", Mason just ran a hand through his hair and stepped backward. "Just forget it, okay?" He shook his head and began to walk backward. "You obviously don't care anyways, just forget I said anything." And with that, he turned and walked away, shaking his head.
Mason refrained from snorting at her threat. He didn't care how big that man was. He was an idiot. "I'm shaking in my boots!" He mocked, continuing to walk down the corridor. He was so done. |
