"She was generally confused by what I was saying...And I know Dee. She wouldn't have lied to me..." Not outright like that, anyway. "I'm just starting to feel concerned...I guess."

Gah! Why did she have to start feeling stuff for him. It always complicated EVERYTHING!

Carter blinked. "You talked to Destiny about this...?" He blinked again. "You talked to Destiny... before me?"

He couldn't believe that Marilyn had actually taken Marie seriously on this. Had Marilyn even seen them together? Apparently not. If she did... then she'd know that Destiny has been trying to kill Carter throughout the term.

But before he could help it curiosity got the best of him. "What did she say?" After what Marie told him... he couldn't help but wonder.
