Ariana felt bad for the people whose cauldrons had been upended, especially the first years who were new to the whole potions thing. Oh well, she supposed they did do something wrong...

Ariana got up with the others and measured out two cups of deep red vinegar. Walking somewhat slower than usual so as not to spill any, she made her way back to her seat and slowly poured it in with the water, trying to mimick the professor since she was a bit scared of doing anything wrong. Once she'd finished, and was satisfied that nothing was going to explode, she copied down the next step into her notes.
