As Professor Lafay went around and upended all the cauldrons that b elonged to the students who hadn't Scourgfied them before adding the water, Stella's eyes widened slightly and she scooted over in her seat so as to avoid getting splashed by any of the hot water. She wasn't about to cast Impervious on herself, not when it seemed the professor was back to her bad mood. Avoiding notice was the best move currently, and the easiest way of accomplishing that was to only do as the professor said (minus the little detail that she hadn't explicitly said to clean their cauldrons. That was assumed).
Right now, though, it seemed they were moving on, and she took her measuring cup out as they were instructed to retrieve the vinegar. "Scourgify," she cast quietly, making sure the measuring cup was spotless before even getting up to go over to the cupboard. Plus, that let the line go down a bit, which helped her be able to get her vinegar quicker, and that way the cup wouldn't get contaminated while she waited either. I'm not letting Professor Lafay think I missed anything, she thought as she carefully measured out two cups of the burgundy vinegar, then headed back to her station to add it to the water in her cauldron. Afterward, she gathered her Potions tools, and made sure everything was clean again. Especially the measuring cup. No stone left unturned.
