81. Depression – Katja Deschone

”What?” she squeaked aloud, reading the letter in her hands. This could not be happening... surely there was some mistake! Katja was invincible... she couldn’t... Not in a fire! It was much too mundane... Aurora had always pictured them being friends forever – she had already forgotten about the huge fight they’d had recently – and she had thought they’d both die in some ridiculous freak accident... or an experiment gone wrong.
Aurora dropped the letter to the floor and sat down, burying her head in her hands and beginning to cry. She would miss Katja DeSchone forever. Her childhood best friend.
