"There was only pink and purple so...I got the purple." Yeah, the explanation wasn't needed, but Kennedy didn't want the girl to think he wasn't manly. Plus, it was Professor Lafay who had chosen the Pygmy Puffs, not him.
"Oh, sorry, she likes attention," Kennedy said, apologetically. What if the girl minded Puff jumping on her?
"They allow dogs at Hogwarts?" Kennedy asked, his growing a bit wide with curiosity. He's always wanted a dog. Did Puff have a name?
"Um, no...well, kind of. She responds to Puff, though." Not as in Hufflepuff, but Pygmy Puff.
