No, I think I'll just let the big-shot over achievers rule all." This was partially true. She had no intention of 'ruling all' but she certainly wasn't going to step back and let others do her job for her! And she was still slightly angry that she had been made a junior officer just because of her age. She wanted to climb the ladder a little bit, at least.
