Atypical Ravenclaw Bookworm // Hair Flipper Pro / / the edgy starbuckian // Hot Messie Hearing the announcement, Mina looked up toward the stage. She had to hurry if she wanted to finish in time for it to be judged with the others. Her mind was wandering before and that had just costed her even more time than she wanted.
Rolling up her sleeves slightly, she focused on starting to carve away the snow outside of the lines her wand had just traced out.
Biting her lip in thought, she continued to work on getting all the snow that she didn't need off her creation. Moving down the pillar of snow and then back up it, she then stood back and looked at her work so far. It was starting to look like it could be a person and that was what it was supposed to look like.
Moving on to working on the detail, she carved a bit more off the front of the pillar. At first glance it appeared that she was just drawing in the snow, but if anyone looked closer it was clear that she was carving out what looked to be a broom.
Getting the details of the broom done, she moved to work on the rest of the bottom half of the pillar. Moving around the base, she continued to carve way snow here and there.
Once the base was done, she continued to work her way up as quickly as possible. Not completely wanted to rush but still mindful of the time, she continued her carving away.
Working on the details more, it was now even easier to see what the pillar was supposed to be. Taking another step back to look at her progress, she smiled. It was taking shape will now but she still had to work fast. Everyone around her was starting to move their snowmen over and she didn't want to be the last person.
Stepping back up to her snowman, she started on the top portion of her snowman. Carving away a head, she added more detail to it. It wasn't going to look exactly anyone but she was just going for a general look. She knew she wanted it to look at least like one of them on the team though.
Taking another glance around, she frowned. Time was really starting to run out and she wanted to make her quidditch snowman perfect though. It looked decent at the moment, but it just wasn't what she wanted completely. Giving it one last go, she went back to add the details that she thought would make it clear what her snowman was.
Working on it for another ten minutes, she took a final look and sighed. It would just have to do. Pulling out her wand, she slowly and carefully levitated her quidditch player snowman to the stage. It was simply player with a broom but she had tried to carve out the details of her own Ravenclaw uniform. It wasn't completely clear but she hoped that the point would still come across to everyone.
Setting her snowman down gently, she charmed some near the bottom of her snowman to spell out her name. |
