OOC: He meant 'them' as in, ...he didn't know whether the employee coming in was a man or woman, so he used the general term 'them'.  Despite the ridiculousness of the assignment this Maintenance employee was here to do, Alexander managed a smile toward his secretary. "Thank you, Miss Smith," he said, then gave her a nod as she walked out the room.
He sighed as the Maintenance employee entered the room. "Dry cleaning and shoe shining, hmm? Very well then," he said, glancing toward the Minister's door. "Just knock on that door," he added, pointing toward the door that connecting this office to the Minister's, "and he'll call for you when he's ready."
"Oh, and...good luck," he added, then he gave the employee an apologetic look as he got back to his paperwork.
