Yahoo! movies released the first trailer for the upcoming release of
My Week with Marilyn, starring
Harry Potter alumni Emma Watson, Kenneth Branagh, Toby Jones, Geraldine Somerville, Zoë Wanamaker, out in theatres November 4, 2011. The film also costars Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe, Eddie Redmayne, and Dame Judi Dench; the film will have its world premiere this Sunday at the New York Film Festival. It can be viewed below.
The story follows the real-life behind-the-scenes drama of the making of
The Prince and the Showgirl between the two leads, played by Marilyn Monroe and Sir Laurence Olivier (Branagh) through the eyes of a young assistant Colin Clark (Redmayne), who chronicled the story of the fall out. Emma discussed her character, a wardrobe assistant named Lucy, who was the love interest of Redmayne's character before he became smitten by Monroe.
"Lucy has experience on set, whereas to Colin Clark the film world is all new, shiny and exciting," says Watson. "She is very wary about Assistant Directors and she knows how these films run, but she‟s still a bit naïve and innocent. Even though at first she‟s very careful of Colin, she falls for him and ends up getting hurt."
