.... Alright, he had him there.

Benjamin simply leaned against the wall as Damien didn't turn to face him. Man, everyone on that side of the office was so DRAMATIC!

"Question is, why is he doing it? I'm sure whatever he did doesn't have just cause for manual, humiliating labor...." A look down at the trainee. "Also, you couldn't have picked a different bathroom?" That one didn't need to be answered.

Damien was crazy- fact. So, whatever the trainee did, didn't go well with him. But, this was ridiculous. Taking advantage of him.

Excuses were made in his mind, objections and defenses, but they didn't reach his tongue. Any words would be like a slap in the face to Damien. Whatever anger he had, whatever things he needed to say, to work out, now was not the time.

So, he remained silent, dunking the toothbrush and starting to scrub. Even when the Detective came in, he only spared the man a slight glance. Damien clearly had it covered, though he couldn't say he appreciated the hostility the man spared towards his boss. But not speaking was a very wise idea for him right now. Not until he could quell some of the anger. So he turned most of his attention back to his task, half an ear and mind on the new addition to the situation.
"I don't understand why you're still down there." Benjamin looked at the trainee and then back at Damien. "Don't abuse him...". The Detective noted the wands he could see in Damien's back pocket. "Whatever he did had to be horrible, but this is not the way to punish him" Perhaps it wasn't Ben's place... But someone had to say something.
