Jez felt Scott's hand on her shoulder, rather than heard his words because there was an insane buzzing in her ears. She knew he was trying to calm her down, so she tried. The buzzing in her ears subsided. "Thank you," said Jez quietly, embarrassed now. "Sorry, I can't control my temper sometimes." It was a statement, not an excuse. There was no excuse for being stupid. She looked at Scott, and started giggling. His hair was full of pie, and stood straight up. She pointed her wand at it. "Scourgify." All gone, although his hair still looked a bit weird. "You look good that way," grinned Jez.
