Patting Caltex, she held back a laugh at the mention of lizards. What a shame, though she was sure Caltex would survive without a friendly visit from a reptile. She looked up from her bundle of joy as Aurora addressed her, she was curious now.
"Of course," she said looking at the wilting rose and the potion.
Aurora's eyes glinted slightly as she flicked the stopper from the little phial. A tangy blueberry smell wafted from it.
"I've spent ages trying to fuse these two potions and I finally did it and I wanted to show it to you." She slit the bottom of the flower's stalk with her thumbnail and dipped it into the potion.
"It'll take about forty seconds." she said, not taking her eyes from it. A blue colour spread up from the bottom of the stalk, slowly reaching the petals, then it quickly spread through to the ends of the petals. As the colour seeped into every crevice the flower began to look healthier and healthier until it was in full bloom.
"Look!" she squeaked. The flower was currently blue, but it would change colour every couple of minutes. She held it to Professor Bentley to see... she also had a question about it...
