He had even managed to mute out the street's noise echoing in the empty alley, when his mind processed who he was staring at. "Hi there, amigo," he greeted with a wave, a tone of condescending in his voice and smirk. "How are you? Such a beautiful day, sim?"
Adam wasn't sure if Joao thought that he was stupid, but he wasn't, and of course Adam could pick up on the condescending note in Joao's tone when Joao addressed him. Adam gave a little nod of recognition in return...he didn't particularly care for the fact that Joao was referring to him as
amigo because that was something they were definitely not.
Deep breath Adam. Be. Civil.
"I'm doing alright...and yourself?" Adam asked, impressed that the words were able to come out quite cheerfully despite his prickly demeanor. Adam was bundled in his own black jacket, and had his hands shoved into his pockets.
"I'm surprised you aren't here with Louisa," Adam said, giving the boy a rather neutral look.
"It seems like a good place for a date...is she meeting you here or something?"
Perhaps the boy thought that he could have the satisfaction of telling Adam of Louisa and his situation himself, but it was unfortunately for him he was not going to get that satisfaction. Adam was stuck in a kind of linger position where he couldn't figure out if he should be clocking the boy in the face or attempting to get to know him better for the sake that him and Louisa were a relatively new couple and he figured that they were going to be together for a while.
