When Dallin spoke again, Ellie felt a wave of relief. He wanted to forget it for tonight. His birthday. Ellie met his eyes when he took one of her hands in both of his. Instinctively, Ellie put her other hand on their hands. It would be hard to forget about what they had just talked about, honestly. But Ellie would try her hardest to focus on other things. When Dallin led them back to the chair, Ellie followed and nodded slowly before taking a seat.
Now they needed a subject change. Desperately. But what should they talk about now? Life? Family? Quidditch? Wizard Rock? Endless possibilities, really.
"So what does it feel like to be of age?" Yeah. That was the only question she could think of, really.
