Sneaking a peek at his lesson plan Edvard continued after a moment. "Most of you have talked about planets. Can anyone name the planets in the solar system?"
Selina rose her hand in a heartbeat. She could name the planets in a heartbeat. When she was little her Aunt Jennette used to sing the song of all of the planets to her. It was quirky and weird, but spending time at Aunt Nettie's house was the best part of her childhood.
So she began to sing the song in her head. The Sun's a hot star,
"Sir, it's the sun," Mercury's hot, too.
"Mercury," Venus is the brightest,
"Venus," Earth's home to me and you,
"Earth," Mars is the red one,
"Mars," and Jupiter's really wide,
"Jupiter," Saturn's got those icy rings,
"Saturn," And Uranus spins on its side,
"Uranus," Neptune's really windy,
"Neptune," and pluto's really small,
" and Pluto, which is now known as a dwarf planet, not a real planet," Well we wanted to name the planets and now we've named them all,
"That's all of them, sir."
