"Oh, I'm sorry!" Ashley said, suddenly feeling incredibly bad, even though he hadn't meant for anything like that to happen. He frowned deeply, tilting his head a bit, grey eyes very sad. Besides the apology, he wasn't sure what else to say. He was worried, of course, but Ashley didn't have much of an opportunity to have to try and comfort people. Most of the time, even when people were upset around him, they would pretend to be fine, or assume he couldn't help since he was so young, and would barely even acknowledge that he was there. She did say she wanted to change the subject, but he searched his pockets anyway, hoping to find a napkin or something. He usually had one, for various reasons, most of them involving candy and the need to rid his fingers of it quickly. Finding a tissue, he pulled it out and offered it up, hoping it didn't have lint or anything stuck to it. He was trying to help, after all, not give her eye irritation or anything.
"Uh... sure. What do you want to talk about?" he asked, looking around. People were dancing, so that was interesting. But that was more of a watching thing. Or a doing thing. And he wasn't going to be doing that. Perhaps if he was still alone, he'd try a couple of moves in the corner where no one would notice, but now there was no way. "Can you dance? Or do you want to see what else is going on around here?" He was sure he'd passed more than just food.
