"NO NO NO, I must start the make-up, I'm suddenly INSPIRED by that little hair of yours," she said, forcefully grabbing his hand and then making him sitting down but noticed that he seemed downright nervous. Hmm? HMM? Lola stared right into his eyes, her eyes seeping through his soul and wondering if he already knew how beautiful he would look after this wonderful make-up transformation.
She closed her eyes and then within seconds, opened them all so artistically, reaching her hands for open air because she was therefore, grabbing all of the inspiration particles around her. Lola got the brush and as soon as she held on to the medium, the little boy's face was a canvas. Tedious precision... it all had to be beautiful... BEAUTIFUL... BEAUTIFUL! "This heart will represent happiness, love, and warmth from your mother!" she started, drawing a huge red heart on his forehead. "What's your name, my darling?" He needed a name or else she would have to name him. "AND VOILA!" Flailing her arms in the air, she grinned at the result, showing her happiness and sadness because well, the boy's face was basically art. She handed him a mirror and started explaining it all. "I already explained the heart--oh doesn't it look lovely? I wanted to go really artistic on this one, as you can see--the yin-yang symbol on your right eye! I really wanted to incorporate that because it shows the importance of a balanced mind, oh don't you love it?" Her eyes were now into his, so proud of her work. "The flower represents serenity... and you can see that rose on the other side, SYMBOLIZING the conflicts and triumph of love!"
She twirled him around for a while, still admiring her very own work. NO WAIT THERE WAS MORE. "Now... my favorite part... the moustache--you can just see how one is up and own is down. This represents OPPRESSION in our corrupted society and how we've all been generalized into mere classes than individual human beings!" "And I thought you would look so much better with a goatee."
Pleased with her result, Lola quickly sat down in the seat of her own. "Now you do me!" Did his hair really inspire art? No, no, no! Stop it! This girl is going to ruin your face, Rory. Think for a second! He simply could not believe that he was actually going to be painted on and for all he knew, he would end up looking like the biggest doofus in school. Just listening to this girl made him think she was going to get all symbolic. Groaning, he sat still, closed his eyes and allowed the girl to do whatever she had to do.
After a few minutes, he opened up his eyes. All of a sudden, she began ranting about a heart and motherly love...WHAT?! "You painted a heart on me?!" Oh, no. Moments later, she requested his name. Perhaps he should give an alias... "I'm Romulan...?" But the girl kept going on and on about yin and yang and other things. And a flower. A FLOWER WAS PAINTED ON HIM. Great. Now his right eye looked like some deformed monochrome circle while the left eye looked like the enter of a deformed flower. Let's not forget the ridiculous moustache she supposedly painted on him and of course, a goatee. Though, a goatee didn't sound too bad, just as long as it matched his hair. He wanted to look in the mirror but two things stopped him. First, he was frightened what he might have looked like and second, the girl was already pushing him to do her make-up. "Alright, alright! I'm on it." Rory had intended to do something absurd in retaliation but somehow, he had a much more creative idea in mind and let his artistic mind take over. How unusual. After several minutes perfecting his work, he was done. Sighing, he took a long look at his beautiful masterpiece and nodded approvingly. Nothing could beat this paint job. "So, what's next?" Rory looked over at the chalkboard to see that directions for the two spells had been written out. He recalled the professor saying something about it but he was too busy focusing on his nightmarish face painting experience. "I suppose spells are next? I mean, for our hair?" He hoped she wouldn't go berserk over that, too. So far, this girl was the most frightening person he had ever met. |
