She felt her feet slip up slightly when Gideon plastered an amused smile on his face. It was only a momentary laps and she looked up at Gideon, he really liked to push her limits didn't he? Fine, if he wanted to play the smirk game challenge accepted. She threw a smirk right back at him and retorted, "Yeah, maybe that would be wise. You never know when I might strike..."
When he agreed with her comment about them making a good pair she, without even thinking about it or relaxing she did it, moved a little closer to him. "Well you know, I was going to dance with Kurumi, but I guess your a good second choice." This joke was lighter than any she had previously thrown out a him. In fact her tone was so soft it was as if she whispered it. Gideon felt more then saw the slip up, doing his best not to show a reaction and trying to compensate for it. Thankfully it wasn't enough to through them both off balance, just meerly slow them up a little which was perfectly fine. No need to rush things when they werent even dancing to music. AND by the looks of things, their teacher was just as hesitant with his movements as the rest of them.
He might not have noticed her movement had first had he not registered the smaller angle he looked down to look into her face. It was then the older Gryfindor saw that Selina had moved closer to him, whether subconsciously or on purpose he couldn't be sure. "Well then....I'...I best be glad ye...decided on me," he managed to remark getting his voice back, catching her soft tone as they very nearly stopped.
