"Hello," he said before realizing how frightening it must've been for him to have said that in a dark passageway behind her.

Jez heard voices in the passage in front of her. She frowned. How many people knew about this place? This was a secret passage - emphasis on the secret! "Lumos," she murmured, making light spring to the end of her wand. She saw Sarah, the girl she'd met at the library, and that Ravenclaw boy she'd seen at the feast - she wasn't sure of his name. "Hello," smiled Jez. "Sorry if I interrupted something." Not that that last sentence implied anything ... She inspected the walls carefully. "This is definitely the passage Keegan was talking about ... There it is!" She held her wand light close to the wall to read the words scratched there.

To Jez, or Than, whoever finds this first - don't bother going down there. It's blocked. Disappointing, but whatever, there's more secret passages where this came from! Keegan
Jez took out her quill, and started scratching a note under her older brother's.
