An affirmative nod. "I think it's suitable." It matched his respect for fellow students. And his tie.
Once she was all settled, she straightened her spine a little and extended her hand to him. "Charner Hope Rainbow." A slight frown tickled the sides of her mouth. "But you can just call me Arnie....Or Yo!-Girl." Didn't much matter to her. "And I won't laugh. A promise is a promise and a deal is a deal. I'd only break it if you were one of my brothers." Which thank Merlin's unwashed beard he wasn't. One finger reached out and poked the boy in the side. "It's not polite to assume people will do things when they say they won't." She wasn't the greatest on manners, but that she knew. "Plus, I'm sure you're not SO bad that you could make me break our deal." She tapped her lip in thought. "If you do, or are, and I do laugh, I'll buy you a new beanie-bag."
Heh. Was she putting up a challenge? Maybe.
With a grin, she dropped her hands into her lap and tilted her head at the boy. "And I don't know how to dance either. Just know about it. My brother has declared that I am impossible of absorbing any type of etiquette into my being. So I figured this is a good way to prove him wrong." Quote:

Merlin, this would be interesting. The blonde Malfoy enjoyed dancing but she wasn't exactly the best dancer in the whole world due to being a little clumsy.
The Slytherin walked over towards the growing group of students and Professors. "Good Morning Professor Stryker," she said to the man and then turned around to face one of her other Professors who seemed to be here. "Hello Professor Bentley! How are you?" she asked with a smile. Emma looked around the crowd, searching for a familiar face and she found Nikolas there. She assumed that she could hang out with him. So then she made her way over to him and took a seat next to him. "Hey! What's up?" she said, with a wide smile and then saw another girl who looked about her age sitting by him. "Hi. I'm Emma." "Lord Nikolas? I like that one" he nodded and smiled, much better than Bean-bag-boy but she could call him whatever she wanted. So, Yo-girl did have a name. "I'll call you both, Arnie and Yo-girl" he admitted.
Yo-girl was actually promising she would not laugh at him, at which he felt pleased and surprised because most of the people would actually laugh at him. Still, he didn't mind at all. But the best part was the challenge. "I will try to make you laugh just to have a new beanbag chair" he said with a mischievous smile. He knew Arnie would try hard to not laugh after this challenge so he would do his worst dancing movements.
He chuckled when Arnie admitted her brother didn't believed she could have manners "Why did he thinks that?" he wondered.
And then his attention turn to a voice that he recognized...Emma. " Just waiting for the class to start" he looked at the Slytherin sitting beside him "Even though I don't know what I'm doing here, I got no dance skill" he shook his head. Oh look! the class has started. Quote:

"Okay, I guess we will get started. Uhm...well, bonjour and welcome to the first dance lesson of the year. For those of who do not know me, I am Mr. Chad Stryker. I am the school groundskeeper," and not a dance teacher," and I am being forced to teach this dance class, no thanks to a certain third year Slytherin female who told Lord Borr in her assignment last term that I sucked at dancing." He was rambling.
"Now, before we go any further, does anybody here have any dance experience? If so, what type of dance do you do?" He was totally going to exploit those students to teach the rest of the class because he knew NOTHING. Quote:

"Hmm, okay. Well, then, for those of you that do dance, including those that randomly dance in your house," he grinned, "Why do you dance? What is it about dance that appeals to you?" He leaned back a bit. "And, for those of you that do not dance. What do you think dance is about?" Nikolas snort a bit when he heard Mr. Stryker had been forced to teach dancing. Poor man. If Nikolas was him, this would totally be a torture. Dance experience? YES! None. This was going to be interesting if they dance today. Mostly with a partner, he would kicked someones feet accidentally. And what if was to a pretty girl? Oh noo that definitely could not happen.
Mr. Stryker asked again another question and this time Nikolas did answered. "About...having a good time?" he assumed "Or for excercise or simply a hobby" he replied "Or like she said..." he looked at the Slytherin girl "For dates and parties". Parties were fun and that was the only time he actually dance...or tried to.
