"Well, it's not a castle just for myself, there will be some of my people there, I've started quite the group and our goal is to help people internationally." Rafe didn't know what he would call his little group. He wanted them to feel equal and not have another Seath problem. In time Rafe, hoped he could go into more details with everything that happened. "I think security will be fine there, and it's probably the safest place in the east. A good place for families...or whoever else to feel welcome and safe. Kind of like a haven." That's exactly the kind of atmosphere Rafe wanted to make his new home feel.
Rafe couldn't help, but smile as he watched Marilyn's eyes examine the picture. "I think Aurelia is going to be a great big sister. They certainly take after Dustin's complexion. They don't look like my mum at all, except perhaps in the eyes." He was practically beaming. It was weird being the eldest of three other siblings.
"My brother has the Lycaon complexion, but it will be interesting to see what my kids turn out to look like... I suppose it depends on my wife." Rafe grinned, but couldn't look at Marilyn. He was thinking of the box he gave her and imagining a life it had opened. "If my kids are anything like my sisters...well, it would be interesting to see little blonde cubs running around."
Marilyn figured that was the case. Of course Rafe would have his people there with him. He was all about the pack. She tried hard not to feel bitter, but failed miserably. She just hoped it didn't show...
When Marilyn had been younger, she'd wanted nothing more than to have a younger sibling. Someone to dote on and teach everything she knew. Rafe was lucky in that respect. If her family wasn't so screwed, perhaps the blonde could've had sisters...or even a younger brother. It was a tough thing trying to forgive someone who was a total piece of garbage. Everytime Marilyn thought she might be at
that place, something else reminded her and it just upset her all over again.
All this talk about children had to be the cause.
If her father messed up her chances to have children, Marilyn didn't know what she would do. Something was growing in the spaces of the corridor...Tension? Awkwardness? Rafe seemed just as uncomfortable. They might not have been together anymore, but Marilyn
knew him..and he was trying to be careful with what he said right now. What she couldn't understand was why...
Hmm... "I suppose if I have children with Carter, they'll be blonde haired and blue eyes...We kinda are like those muggle dolls....Barbie and Ken." She snerked to herself, thinking about the nickname her and Carter's relationship had garnered the first time around.
