Alfie wasn't all that surprised that she hadn't met Vashti before this point, she hadn't exactly been all that social the year before. That was mostly due to Alfie's quiet nature, she didn't often go out of her way to make that many friends. But she was glad she had gotten the chance to speak with Vashti, she seemed like a really nice person.

Ah, so she was a fifth year. Which only meant... "Looking forward to the OWLs?" Yeah, she could never resist asking that of any fifth year she met. Vashti was curious to know whether anyone else was freaking out over them as much as she had the previous year. That way she could try to reassure/encourage them if they were practically dying on the inside at the very thought of taking those exams or try to scare them a bit if they were too confident. Neither extreme was good.

"Sixth year, yes," she answered with a nod.
