Maybe it wasn't always like this, and all they had to do was wait.
"I highly doubt that it fell from the ceiling and worked it's way around my head to hit the back of it." She was still frowning at the girl disapprovingly, eyes only leaving her briefly to examine the floating objects and wonder about their origins and the spell that gave them those wings.
A bit of exaggerated feet sliding, and she was facing the girl, but still standing a small distance away with her eyes now on the floor as she raised her foot to take an illusional step up and hit solid ground. "I don't know what spell this is." She was a bit irritated with the girl though her curiosity was starting to take hold of her, slowly dimming whatever feelings she was holding towards the younger snake. "What spells these are. It looks to be more than just a few by what were experiencing." Like the 'stairs' and the floating objects.
"Nuh uhhh," Tori countered, sticking out her tongue when the girl's back was turned. She lifted her feet a few more times in an attempt to get closer to the girl but to no avail; the stair spell still seemed to be in effect. "Um, I came through at about 2:00 pm yesterday... why, does your wandwork wear off after a certain amount of time?"
Suspicious, wasn't she. Hmmph. "Well that's exactly what happened," Tori informed her matter-of-factly. "In fact, I spy a few more objects that might just be working their way down to hit you riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight now.........." She curled her hair around one finger and started smirking, waiting to see if the girl would fall for her bait.
"Well like I said, can't we just use Finite Incantatum?" Not that Tori had every successfully used this spell, but this girl looked older, so....

"Maybe that's the reason why I can't find the door and the reason why those girls are talking about the 'stairs'."
She walked up to the students, "Hi there, I was looking for the door to the Charms classroom....which seems to have disappeared....when I overheared your conversation. I'm sorry I don't mean to pry, but I just remembered something my Dad told me once." and she explained what her Dad had warned her about. "Maybe that's what the Professor did. She must have cast a spell or charmed the corridor leading to her classroom. Maybe to make it more challenging and fun to get to her classroom. Do you think that could be a possible reason for all the stuff that's been happening in this corridor?" she asked both students. "By the way, my name is Alyssa and I'm also headed for Charms class."
"Um well I've never been to Charms, so I really have no idea where it is," Tori snapped at the girl coming through, frustrated as she was by the stair spell. This girl seemed to be walking fine though, so Tori lifted her own foot to walk forward and was relieved to see that the spell had lifted. Awesome.
She eyed the other Hufflepuff (GREAT. Now there were two of them.) and shrugged. "I'm Princess Tori and.... yeah, I was going upstairs so........" Wasn't Charms just around the corner? Um?
