Alyssa made her way to the Charms classroom. As she walked along the corridor, she looked up and noticed objects floating above her head out of her reach. She thought that strange but figured that since this was Hogwarts, strange could be normal here. As she turned round the corner and walked right into a wall. "Wait a minute, I know that there was a door here yesterday. Now where did it go? Did I make a wrong turn?" Alyssa looked back the way she came to see whether she had done that. "Nope, this is the right way, so where is that door?" Alyssa looked up and down the corridor but couldn't find one. Then she noticed two students arguing and that one was a Hufflepuff prefect. "Oh dear, I do hope no one hears them arguing. I don't want either of them to get into trouble," Alyssa thought to herself.

She snickered as the crust hit its target and didn't even notice the girl's shiny badge pinned to her robes. Not that it would have mattered to someone who considered herself more important than a mere prefect. "It wasn't me. That crust must have fallen from the enchanted objects above us."
Tori lifted her foot and felt it go up another stair. Geez. "Can't you finite this spell already?!" It wasn't funny! She had places to go, people to see, things to DO!

Maybe it wasn't always like this, and all they had to do was wait.
"I highly doubt that it fell from the ceiling and worked it's way around my head to hit the back of it." She was still frowning at the girl disapprovingly, eyes only leaving her briefly to examine the floating objects and wonder about their origins and the spell that gave them those wings.
A bit of exaggerated feet sliding, and she was facing the girl, but still standing a small distance away with her eyes now on the floor as she raised her foot to take an illusional step up and hit solid ground. "I don't know what spell this is." She was a bit irritated with the girl though her curiosity was starting to take hold of her, slowly dimming whatever feelings she was holding towards the younger snake. "What spells these are. It looks to be more than just a few by what were experiencing." Like the 'stairs' and the floating objects.
Alyssa wondered what the students were talking about. She knew about the floating objects but corridors turning into stairs? Then she remembered what her Dad had told her about looking out for things out of the ordinary and the possibility that there may be charms or spells placed on them. "I would say that things floating up in the air and people talking about 'stairs' in the corridor, definitely falls under that category," Alyssa thought to herself. "Maybe that's the reason why I can't find the door and the reason why those girls are talking about the 'stairs'."
She walked up to the students, "Hi there, I was looking for the door to the Charms classroom....which seems to have disappeared....when I overheared your conversation. I'm sorry I don't mean to pry, but I just remembered something my Dad told me once." and she explained what her Dad had warned her about. "Maybe that's what the Professor did. She must have cast a spell or charmed the corridor leading to her classroom. Maybe to make it more challenging and fun to get to her classroom. Do you think that could be a possible reason for all the stuff that's been happening in this corridor?" she asked both students. "By the way, my name is Alyssa and I'm also headed for Charms class."
