"Okay," She nodded, "Shot, what's up?" But then was asking about her summer, um. She shrugged, "You know the usual. Just spent most of it drawing really" For those who knew her like Louisa did would know she was really into drawing.
But maybe she had to give all that up this year for exams?
Feeling awful? That didn't sound good. She raised her eyebrows at the sentence but didn't say anything, she instead turned away. Ha, Enya Mayberry going to the carnival and acting like a child. No way. "I didn't go, I hate carnival's" Truth.
"But how was your summer?" She turned to look at her best friend once more.
Okay, firstly Enya hadn't snapped at her, that was something to celebrate for! Maybe at night in the dorms? Yep. Nodding her head Louisa elaborated, "
I figured you'd spend most of your time drawing." She refrained from asking about any parent, though. Four years of knowing Enya and Louisa knew better than to bring the subject.
"
Mine was a mess." She sighed and started pacing up and down. "
I had this..boy that I really really like-" see the present tense? That was intended. "
-and I was crazy enough to try and talk to him about it." She stopped pacing and looked at Enya through hurt eyes, "
He has a girlfriend and seventeen years old, so yeah, he found unbelievable." She swallowed the tears and shook her head a bit, "
Not the good kind of unbelievable." Rather the insulting kind.
Coming closer to her friend Louisa continued in a different and stronger voice tone, "
But I'm getting over it," lie. "
I mean, I did meet someone who's.. attractive and seems nice enough. I thought that, maybe that'd help. What do you think?" Enya was a girl and about her age so she knew what to say, right? The people that talked to Louisa about it were only old people or boys - so yeah, Enya was the first logical one to know what to say or to know how it felt at least.
