Okayyyy he had insulted her. He hadn't meant to it was a joke, the same sort of joke he'd throw at Emily. With Emily she didn't mind she just threw something back but with Alex maybe now. He frowned and watched her walk away from him. Okay he'd was an idiot and he knew it.

"Hey wait, I didn't mean to insult you!" He called running after her. He didn't have to run far before he took hold of her elbow and pulled her around to face him. He took hold of her other elbow lightly and looked into her face. "I'm sorry. It was a joke" He watched her and wondered what she would say in response.
