"Yes! I can't even believe I'm here. It's all quite surreal. I mean, I'm nervous, you know, what if I fail my classes or something like that?" Valerie chewed on her lip and furrowed her eyebrows but then brightened once more. "But at the same time I can't wait for everything to start. We're learning magic. Magic. Can you believe that? And here I am in Gryffindor, and just you know-" Valerie sighed. "I'm rambling. Sorry." She smiled apologetically at Elsie then looked down and began picking at the bed sheets. "I'm just, yeah. Kind of excited," Valerie finished with a chuckle.

She looked back to Elsie. "What about you? Are you excited?"
