And compiling a list of what they could do for her... she felt awfully sorry for them. She wondered what would happen if she didn't hand in her list - because she definitely wasn't going to be making one, that was for sure.
As she waited to be let in, she considered all the recent events at the Ministry. She had heard whispers about some kind of cult, but she honestly had no clue what it was all about, which was part of the reason she was now standing outside the Undersecretaries' office. She had a few questions to ask, and she wanted answers. I would already have them, she thought to herself, irritated, if I hadn't gone travelling. Stupid girl. Hearing a knock on his door, Alexander glanced up. "Come in!" he called out, and then, thinking better of it and realizing he could be more efficient with a wand, quickly cast a spell on the door to open it. "Ahh. Miss Hathaway," he said, grinning at the sight of one of his best employees. Unless he was looking too much into things, though, it seemed that the woman wasn't in the best of spirits. He was used to seeing her in an upbeat, positive mood, quite unlike the impression she gave now.
He waved his wand again, and a chair moved across the room and came to a stop just in front of his desk. "Have a seat, ...please," he said, gesturing toward the chair and then putting his wand away. "Is everything alright, Miss Hathaway?" He folded his hands in front of him on the desk and gave her his utmost attention.
