She was pretty sure they had never met. Then again, she could just be forgetful, but she definitely couldn't remember her. How odd.
'I don't think we have,' she said apologetically, and then gave the girl a bright smile.
'You're welcome to join us, though! Come and sit,' she said cheerily, gesturing to the empty seats. See, she was going to make another friend! Yay!

Were they Slytherins?"
That was a good question - why did it matter? Gaby would make sure to ask in her next letter, which would be written after she was sorted. Gulp. She couldn't imagine their reaction if she didn't get Slytherin. It certainly wouldn't be pretty.
'You know, I'm not all too sure. Probably because they were both Slytherins, and so were their parents, yadda yadda yadda,' she mused. Yeah, that was probably it. Carrying on the family line and stuff. Or something.
Brothers and sisters... Gaby wished.
'No, I'm an only child,' she said, sighing.
'I'd love to have a sister, though. A younger one. I love little kids,' she said with a smile. She would totally love having a younger sister! It would give her someone to talk to in the big, empty house, at least.
