He gave Louisa another smile as she told him he looked like an official Hogwarts student.
"Fake it until you make it, right?" Adam said, letting out a little sigh. He could tell that they were getting closer to Hogwarts, but he was trying to keep himself calm. The calmer he was, the better off he would be. He looked down at JB, giving the dog a little pat of appreciation. "Thanks...I appreciate the support."
Adam could sense the change in Louisa's tone of voice before he looked at her. He had been right...Dallin and Ellie were a concern for him. Adam had already suggested chatting, and that had gone horribly, so he certainly was not going to offer any more advice on a plan of action for her. "Well...maybe since it's been a little bit of time since you last spoke to him, maybe things will have cooled down." Adam didn't want to say to try and chat again, because he didn't know if that was what Louisa wanted, or if that was something that she wanted to try right now. "But even if not, you're a strong person and I am here for you whenever you need me." Reaching across the space between them, Adam took hold of Louisa's hand, giving it a little squeeze.
He was right. It'd been two weeks. She didn't feel the urge of exploding at someone whenever his words came back to her. She didn't have dreams about them surfing together anymore. It was comforting. "
You're right. I can just ignore them." Vashti was in the dormitory with her. That should be distracting a little. Besides Louisa didn't have to study all the time in the common room where couples 'shared affection' there, she always had the library.
Thinking of that Louisa found herself smiling, she was really missing the castle more than she'd imagined, "
We're going to wander around the castle for the first week. You don't have much study to do then." She smiled at Adam encouragingly, "
One of your new friends can join us too." In case he felt like it. Louisa didn't mind new people... as long as they were nice and not too happy- it just bugged her to meet a hyperly happy stranger. Go figure.
Looking down at JB Louisa gave the dog a pat as well, "
We can sneak some food from the kitchen for our little ba-" EEK! Louisa stumbled on her words before correcting the word, "
-pet. Baby pet." Because baby alone was too awkward. She really should stop talking when her head was a bit dizzy. She'd put herself in enough awkward situations for the rest of her life already. Leaning her back against the seat again she started, "
You read the Daily Prophet?" Because their dear headmaster was apparently being attacked! And even if she didn't understand the whole thing, Louisa would not tolerate it! She liked the man.
