Rafe couldn't help, but noticed the looks that took place between Marilyn and Caroline. There was a lot of tension, but why? Rafe just shrugged it off. Maybe he'd get the opportunity to ask Marilyn later. They did smell similar...hmm...she probably had Malfoy blood in her. It was the only explanation. "Summer?" Rafe smiled. "It was probably the best summer of my life!" That was a bit of an understatement. "Did some travelling...a castle in Romania, Paris, Dublin, Glasgow..." Deep sigh. "I'd like to think it was a job well done. And I like to think I met someone who is like a brother to me now. Great chap, we'll be staying in touch." Rafe raised his eyebrows and then looked at the sister of the man he just talked about.

"Oh wow! Was that Marilyn Elizabeth Force coming to my defense? I'm shocked!" Rafe was being very theatrical and wasn't at all serious. But, it felt nice just to hear her angelic voice. He gave her a little bow before listening to her summer.

"Good company? Are you talking about Carter? He told me he was going to invite you to spend the summer with his family and have some muggle quality time!" And that was definitely going to get a reaction from Marilyn. Of course he knew she spent the summer with Carter, it was his idea after all, for her protection. Rafe even had her followed for most of it, again for her protection, so he knew almost every detail. Larentia, Randall and Kurt had been very discrete to his knowledge. He took another sip of butterbeer. He didn't understand why she was beating around the bush when it came to explaining her summer. Though technically he was doing the same, but he wanted to share the details more privately with Marilyn alone.
