Dallin had wayyy too much stuff. His trunk was packed with both important and completely useless things, like clothes he probably wasn't even going to wear and old text books that he'd been too lazy to take out. His owl was in his cage in Dal's other hand. Draped over the case was an old shirt of Dallin's that he'd put over the bird to help it stay asleep. Strapped over Dal's shoulder was his newest addition to his Hogwarts luggage; his guitar, which he'd decided to bring to school this year.

He wasn't really looking for a certain compartment; he figured he'd find Ellie soon, or else she'd find him, so he wasn't searching for her. Mostly he was just wandering, wasting time. But soon his arms felt like they were going to fall off and he told himself to find a place to sit now. So choosing the first compartment he saw then, he knocked on the door twice with his elbow. He could only see one body inside.

"Hey, do you mind if I join you?" he asked loudly, one side of his face pressed against the glass. He couldn't really open the door, so hopefully the person inside would be kind enough to open it for him.
