"Alright, alright," Theodore mused, chuckling lightly. Patting the tabby on the back, she lithely jumped from the trunk before her owner heaved it off of the trolley. Placing the steel wheelabout near the brick wall of the platform, where others had been left, he returned to his luggage and cat to find that Bree had perched herself on top of the trunk once more. "Have it your way," Theodore shrugged, drawing his wand from the front pocket of his jeans. It was only now, when he felt something metallic and sharp in his pocket, that the Ravenclaw recalled his duty.

Theodore was not simply a seventh year eagle, but Prefect Dumble, now! To tell the truth, the title embarrassed him, but what was there to do about it? Drawing the navy-and-bronzed colored badge from his pocket, which gleamed from the sunlight that poured in from the skylights, he pinned it onto his polo. He hadn't wanted to wear it while on the muggle platform for the sake of not drawing even more attention to himself. Honestly, the teen felt like a bit of a prat, but the Head Boy and Girl, both Slytherins, would have probably disemboweled him for forgetting such a simple thing as to wear his new badge. Tearing his eyes from the pin that now gleamed obnoxiously on his chest, Theodore drew his wand once more and aimed it at the trunk. With a swish and the utterance of the words, "locomotor trunk," his suitcase, Bree sitting on top, levitated and floated at his side as he moved through the thickening crowd. Where were his friends and his fellow prefects?

It was when he saw two blonde heads a short distance away, bobbing together excitedly, that Theodore immediately felt his stomach happily flip over. He would bet all of the galleons in his wallet that it was none other than Emma Malfoy and Alfie Port. Dropping off the trunk where the conductor was collecting all baggage, Bree hopped off and wound her way through the crowd as Theodore rushed over to his friend and girlfriend, knowing his intelligent cat would find her way to him efficiently as soon as she heard the train's whistle blow. Coming up behind the bench, Theodore placed his hands on the backrest and on either side of the girls as he leaned over to give Alfie a quick kiss on the top of her head. "Good afternoon," He beamed a wide smile, not sure whether his new badge or his dorky grin was more obnoxious.

Alfie had just had enough time to come and greet the blonde Malfoy at her side, about to inquire as to the rest of her summer when she suddenly felt the shadow of another person approaching their bench from behind. Before the girl could even fully register that someone was there, she had received a kiss on the top of her head, and she immediately registered that this must have been none other than Theodore Dumble. As his voice filled the air around them in a greeting, her suspicions were confirmed, and the little blonde Ravenclaw couldn't help but let the warmest of smiles fall onto her features. "Theo!" In a moment, she had jumped up onto her feet and rounded the bench, practically tackling the boy in a hug. She'd missed him. It hadn't really been all that long since she'd last seen her boyfriend, but it felt like ages. It'd been at least a couple of weeks since their last meeting, though their letters seemed to be exchanging every other day.

It was as Alfie collided gently with the boy in a kind of clumsy but sweet hug that her face, which normally felt the soft material of whatever Theo happened to be wearing that day, hit something much less forgiving. Rather, something metallic and stuck to his shirt! His prefect badge! Blue eyes widening as though having discovered some secret treasure, the little Ravenclaw withdrew from the hug just slightly to admire the sight of the prefect badge she knew he owned but had never set eyes on before. "Theo..." she murmured gently, endearment in her tone as her large blue eyes seemed to fill with pride. "It looks so good on you!" she approved softly, her expression rather beaming at the boy as she leaned up with the intention of placing a gentle kiss on his lips. That was her intention, until she felt the cold, hard gaze of two people across the traffic of the station, which was constantly moving in the middle of the walkways. Oh right. Her parents were here. Alfie's long blonde hair swished around her as she whipped her head around to catch the gaze of her parents from across the way.

Alfie had told her parents about Theo the second summer had began, of course they needed to know! But even if she hadn't said anything, her parents would've had to be idiots to not know their daughter had a boyfriend. She had been constantly exchanging letters with someone all summer, she wore her locket nearly all the time, and besides, she just seemed different. Not in a bad way, but rather, she seemed...so much more happy that summer. But it was obvious by Mr. Port's expression that he did not seem particularly thrilled to see his daughter around who he assumed to be her boyfriend. Though Mr. Port had never been necessarily over-the-top protective dad, and Alfie was certainly not daddy's little girl or anything of the sort, he was still a father. And an intimidating one at that. He was mostly concerned with the idea of Alfie getting distracted from her studies, or moreso, with any Quidditch-related activities he hoped she'd be involved with this year. (But, as he had been assured plenty of times over the summer, Alfie had no interest in being on the school team, much to his disappointment.) His relationship with his daughter had never been all that great, considering his dedication to his career and the fact that they had hardly anything in common. So when she said she had a boyfriend, he wasn't concerned so much with his little girl growing up (since Alfie had pretty much been an independent person for years) or losing his daughter to someone else, or any of that emotional nonsense, but rather that in one way or another she'd find herself off track. Off course. And that just wouldn't do.

And so, it was with this attitude that the Ports walked over to the three students, standing a few feet in front of them and still exuding that same cold demeanor that discouraged others from speaking with them. "My parents," Alfie muttered softly in explanation, her smile falling just slightly as she turned to lock eyes with Theo for a moment before releasing herself from their small half-hug situation. "Uh...Emma, Theo, this is my Mum and Dad," Alfie announced with a weak smile, tucking some of her long blonde hair behind one of her ears as she stepped around the bench to introduce the two groups. Her father was the first to move as he stepped up in the next moment, his stern expression holding onto a precise smile, one that he used in nearly all business situations, and though 99% fake, it did the job of showing off some business-worthy pearly whites. His bright blue eyes, though the exact same shade as Alfie's own, were concentrated in a cool gaze of pure evaluation as he shook Emma's hand gently and politely before grabbing Theo's rather roughly and giving it a firm shake.

"You must be Theo," he announced with a grin, which though slightly different from the smile before it, reflected the same amount of mock enthusiasm, his blue eyes giving away some of the curiosity he had in meeting these friends his daughter had been exchanging letters with all summer. And of course, how could he not be curious to meet Theodore? Alfie's mother lifted the large sunglasses from her face and flashed the pair a more genuine smile, though it didn't have so much interest behind it.

"Lovely to meet you both," she said with a nod as she gave a gentle shake of the hand to Emma and then Theo moments later. The introductions seemed to be enough to make Alfie want to board the train right then and there. Still at Theo's side, she gently enveloped his hand after her parents were done shaking it, her father having done so with the force of a business deal. Her gentle touch must have been an extreme contrast to poor Theo's right hand, surely, from what it had just been through.

"Well, Mum, Dad," Alfie started softly, pure discomfort on her features. "You should probably get going, right?"
