Alex grinned. "Ah. Thank you, Damon." She took a bow. "I'm glad you think so." She could feel her cheeks grow warm. "Hm. I guess we are perfect for each other?" She said, with a laugh although she wondered if it was a little out of line. "Why dont we just stoll along and see if there are any interesting games along the way?" Or... "I also noticed a few interesting shops.." She wanted to go shopping!
Damon gave Alex a little frown. Would she be upset if he told her? Damon cleared his throat slightly before continuing.
"A lot of the girls I found I got along with when I was teen were girls that had come from a similar background to my own. No real parents, constantly bouncing from home to home and never really feeling settled...some of them took up illegal activities within the muggle community, since I mostly just dated muggles. Most wizard and witches I encountered through schooling and stuff thought I was too rough around the edges, so they generally stayed away from me." Those had been incredibly dark times for Damon.
"I guess I just found comfort in being with people that could understand what I went through, but as I got older I decided I didn't want to be a spiteful person who used their crappy childhood as a crutch to not do well in life, or make anything of themselves. So, I ended up cutting off ties with them...I'm not really sure what happened to them but I hope they were able to find the peace that I've found." "We seem to be pretty perfect for each other to me," Damon said with a smile.
"Sure," Damon said, taking hold of her hand and leading her down the little path. Maybe he could find something new for himself...or he wouldn't mind by Alex something. Boyfriends did get their girlfriends gifts after all.
