She blinked again. Was she seriously concerned for the binders? "I'm pretty sure the binders are alright..." They were hard, heavy binders for a reason. They didn't damage easily.
You know what? To prevent further injuries, Ellie was just going to carry the bag in the same hand as Clio. That would work. But for now, she set it on top of her trunk, next to the cage.
"I..." She felt really bad that this was the circumstance in which they properly met, but, "I don't think we've ever really met so... I'm Ellie." And she didn't do handshakes, so there was no motion to do so.
"
I-I am," Kurumi chirped, putting her arms into small fists and doing two small and humble little fists pumps that clearly showed that she was fine. Either that, or she was insane. "
I-I have a lot worse." Which was only a slight understatement to tell the truth.
Kurumi eyed the binders for a moment. Hopefully she hadn't caused any of the papers in them to crease or shift about. Kurumi knew how long it often took her to organize her binders and how livid she had been when Adam had thrown some of her papers about in the Gryffindor common room as an attempt to cheer her up - she had nearly hexed him instead.
"
I don't think we really have either," Kurumi said shaking her head. At least, the time they had met hadn't left a very good impression on Kurumi. Of course, it hadn't been just her, but the entire Ravenclaw team that had been a little too smug for her own liking after the match. No words of congratulations and flat out ignoring her teammates hadn't won this little lion over at all. "
I'm Kurumi, Kurumi Hollingberry," she smiled, semi expecting there to be a handshake. But when it didn't come, Kurumi was left confused. She hadn't been faced with this situation before. No handshake? Perhaps Ellie came from a culture that bowed?
Only one way to find out...
Kurumi bowed deeply upon saying her name. "
It's nice to officially meet you."
