You have a job that you like, you travel, you have friends..so yeah, to be able to manage on your own like that..takes a lot of strength and courage." She took a deep breath and turned to face the crowd again. She seriously had no idea what made her say that.
"Great." She smiled as he led her through the crowd. Gosh. There must be thousands of people around here. Okay well..not thousands but definitely hundreds. Go first? Um, well. She knew what the game was but she never said that she was good at it. She gave a small groan. "Well..if you want me to.
Damon looked at Alex and gave her a little smirk.
"I know you were. It's actually nice to be looked at as less intimidating than I was back in the states. I was just in such a dark place that I instinctively seemed to push people away rather than pull them closer." Damon didn't really like to talk about that period of time since he wasn't particularly proud of some of things he'd done and said to people. The past was in the past, right?
"And thank you," Damon said with another little smile at her compliments.
"I appreciate that." "Or I can go first so you can realize how much more I am going to suck at this than you," Damon said with a little laugh.
"I just have no idea how to play, so if you'd be willing to give me some instructions or guidelines, that would be very helpful!"
