It's perfectly okay to be a little loony ♥

Selina looked next to her where her best friend was previously standing. To her surprise, however, the asian fourth year was gone. Where in Merlin's name had she run off too. The pair had just met up after a long couple of weeks without one another and she was already getting distracted and going all over the place. Was Selina really that boring? She had to have been.

It was then that she saw Kurumi was over talking to a boy with a plethora of cuts on his face. Did they know one another? Was he a carnie? No he couldn't have been... he looked not a day over twelve. She approached the pair just in time as Kurumi was introducing Jack to Selina and vice versa. Selina extended her hand and said, "Pleasure to meet you, Jack. Your going to be a first year? And well I'm a third year."

Then she heard a voice of someone who was beckoning the trio of them over to the stand. When they got over to the woman she told them the price of the tickets and that she would give them extra time if they payed her extra. Selina sighed and took out her wallet. Putting her hand up to the silence the other two she payed for all three of their tickets. The woman could have the 12 sickles, she didn't mind, "Here. Take it." Then, disgusted at the woman's behavior-- wasn't the Carnival for fun and joy? Why did they need to pay extra-- with the extra charge, Selina slipped the woman a few extra sickles, "There... is that all right?"
Jack's face instantly turned a purpley red. "Um, no." He said sheepishly, "I'm sixteen actually." Was that he baby faced? He had never felt so. He was only a few inches short of six feet, but maybe his cuts made him look younger or something. He decided not to take it as an insult, he usually didn't, but still blushed considerably. He was also embarrassed because she had enough money to pay for extra time, whereas he didn't. But it wasn't his fault, his mother had his money and she was off somewhere, hopefully far away.

Kurumi didn't want to sound like she was talking gibberish at him. She remembered running into an older student when she was going into her first year. She hadn't understood a word he was saying - not to mention all the talk about the Sorting Hat. "Selina is in Gryffindor as well."

Kurumi's hands went to her pockets where she felt her badge. Oh yeah...THAT.

SPOILER!!: Bumper Broom luff

Kurumi merely blinked at the audacity of the woman. Honestly? Trying to weasel extra money out of them. Where was Walnut when she needed him? No, she shouldn't wish the wrath of the feline's pee on anyone, it was just too cruel.

Just as Kurumi reached into her bag for her own coin purse, Selina's hand was in her face. She knew what that meant: Selina wasn't going to let either of them pay for it. "At least let me pay for some popcorn," she whispered to Selina as the girl handed over the coins.
"Yeah, I read about them." He replied, referring to the Houses. "Gryffindor? Nice. I doubt I'll go in there though, I've never been known for being particularly brave or adventurous." He said.

After realising what Selina did, Jack wanted to make sure she didn't pay for him, but if it wasn't her original intention, then he would sound stupid, so he said nothing.
